Awesome! Thanks for your expertise!

RE: Boxy L2 & R2 - Flavor - 07-04-2019

Porcinus is correct. If you want to place the L2/R2 inside of the original L/R shoulders, then the current add-on board isn't so helpful. You would just add some buttons and run the wires yourself.

The addon does give you an easy way to mount the L2/R2 on the back, gives you a good way to install a fan, and gives you the analog inputs.

We are working on a (potential) new add-on that would make adding the L2/R2 inside of the original L/R shoulders much easier. As of now, it's pretty untested, but that will change soon (when we get the newly designed circuit board and start playing with it).

That sounds neat. I'm interested in giving this a shot since the replacement buttons are so easy to come by. I'm not so interested in cutting into those beautiful aluminum shells, though lol

I think they are maybe going for the Hipcat way, he did post a teardown video today about his last build : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bBzauZ-PjFQ

I saw his video. That's how I'd prefer to do it, I think.

I got some updates from Ed at Freeplaytech about this, they are going that way Smile

Here are 3 photos of an experiment that we're working on.

That looks awesome!

RE: Boxy L2 & R2 - Flavor - 07-16-2019

We are still trying to perfect it, but things are going well.

My Boxy Pixel order finally shipped and I'm uber excited to build this thing. Big Grin
