I figured out my issue. For those in the same boat, I didn't need to make any of the modifications shown from the build tutorial or the FPZ video. I hollowed out the button contact point on the trigger maybe 1/16 of an inch and I'm getting proper movement again. I guess it's just too tight with the particular case I got? Who knows
